Mission
We, the Wayne RESA Literacy Learning Network (LLN), believe that literacy is a civil right. Together, we strive to improve the literacy outcomes of all Wayne County students.
We commit to:
- identity affirming, culturally responsive, equity-driven schools and classrooms.
- developing principals and teachers to be asset-based instructional leaders.
- providing quality practices in every class so that every student can enact literacy across contexts.
- listening to and learning from those we are honored to serve.
This work is imperative in order to cultivate the minds of our students who are leaders, thinkers, and doers. The legacy of LLN will be an ever-changing network that builds upon the knowledge of literacy education, its members, and the diverse communities we serve in order to empower learners to develop lifelong literacy identities.
