The Wayne County Coaching Network is designed to offer opportunities for deep study of research-based practices using collaborative inquiry (Problems of Practice), common texts, and discussion of the Essential Coaching Practices for Literacy. Building and sustaining relationships between both teacher-coach and principal-coach roles, developing assessment literacy knowledge and skills, and promoting equity through coaching are just a few important practices that focus our collaborative work. Forums led by district coaches provide additional data-driven learning opportunities as well as meeting in peer led book clubs.
